Interpreting MXToolbox Results

After running the MXLookup, look for the following indicators:

  • MX Records: These show which servers handle email for your domain. Common server names include:

    • Google / Gmail: Servers containing google.com, gmail.com, or googlemail.com
    • Microsoft / Outlook: Servers containing outlook.com, hotmail.com, or protection.outlook.com
    • Zoho: Servers containing zoho.com
    • AWS / Amazon SES: Servers containing amazonaws.com
  • SPF Record: Look for include: statements that reveal your email infrastructure provider.

If you are unsure after reviewing the results, contact your IT team or the company that set up your domain email.
